Every good thing in the world begins with a dream. Society is run by the movers and shakers who decided to take a risk on something in which they believed. One of the best things about our business is getting to pair up with innovative midwives who have worked to revolutionize the birthing world, and we’re ready to help you do the same!
We created our course, Birth Center Business Planning Pathway, to give you a comprehensive education so you can start your practice. You’ll be instructed by Leslie Cornwell, a professional with over 16 years in the healthcare industry. Leslie has spent her career helping midwives create a thriving practice, and she can’t wait to work with you! We are confident that by the end, you’ll be well on your way to taking your dream and making it a reality, even if you have no prior business experience.
This course is full of valuable information you need to know to start your birth center. You’ll spend between 10-12 months learning from professionals, working with fellow midwives, and building a business plan. The lessons are combined with consultation services with our experts. Each section will be broken down so you can have a formal education with real-life application. The class will work across formats to help you understand each topic. You’ll also be added to our exclusive Facebook group where you’ll get to chat with other midwives in the middle of this life-changing process.
We start out the class by discussing birth center planning before breaking off into specific concepts. You’ll learn financial management, myths about the business, and advice for finding your mission in your practice. We’ll teach you leadership qualities, time management skills, and methods for building your team. We’ll tackle the need-to-know information including regulations and accreditation. You’ll learn how to find your location and set it up for ultimate functionality. We’ll discuss how you can market your practice to make it stand apart from the rest as well as how to increase profitability. You’ll get sample templates that you can use for your own center. We will talk about services, staffing, and fee schedules. You’ll learn everything you need to know about policies, billing and coding, insurance, contracts, and legal defense tips. By the end, you’ll understand how to efficiently run your practice while keeping your missions and values at the very center.
At Empowering Midwifery Education, we want to ensure you’re constantly learning and growing! Once you buy this course, you’ll have lifetime access and can revisit as needed. You’ll have access to any future course updates free of charge. The class is virtual and gives you the ability to learn at your own pace so you can fit it around your busy schedule. You’ll also be able to ask questions throughout and get answers from our expert instructors. We can’t wait to help you unlock your potential by equipping you with knowledge!
