Managing Midwife Complications and Emergencies
Core Skills all Midwives Need to Know Like the Back of Their Hands
Being a midwife is one of the most sacred jobs on earth. Our clients trust us at their most vulnerable, and it’s up to us to make sure they stay safe! That’s why it is so crucial to make sure you have the tools and skills to help their birth experience be positive. By knowing what to do in even the most extreme situations, you’ll be able to confidently face challenges to achieve a happy outcome.
In Managing Midwife Complications and Emergencies, you’ll learn vital information so you can be prepared. In this class, I’ll tell you how to address common complications throughout labor. By the end, you’ll know how to handle a breech presentation, an umbilical cord prolapse, or a shoulder dystocia. You’ll understand what to do if you get a non-reassuring fetal heart rate and know when and how to transport a client in distress. We’ll also go over procedures for both maternal and neonatal resuscitations as well as postpartum hemorrhages.
As a midwife with over 16 years in the healthcare world, I know firsthand these topics can be a bit intense! My goal is to make sure that, should you find yourself in such a situation, you can immediately snap into action without second guessing yourself. By the end of the class, you’ll feel empowered to handle any delivery with expertise.
At Empowering Midwifery Education, we’re here to ensure you’re constantly learning and growing! Once you buy this course, you’ll have LIFETIME access and can revisit as needed. You’ll have access to any future course updates free of charge. The class is virtual and gives you the ability to learn at your own pace so you can fit it around your busy schedule.
